About Reva
Reva has served in several capacities under class action settlements, including senior leadership roles to facilitate the fair and efficient distribution of settlement funds among class members. She has also served as the sole and final adjudicator of individual claims, assessing eligibility and awarding damages.
Reva is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and has an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. She was awarded the Law Society Medal in 2023 by the Law Society of Ontario for outstanding service within the profession.
Reva practices with fairness, thoughtfulness, and integrity. She is known for her sound judgment, practical outlook, and sensitivity to the needs of all parties.
Reva is currently:
- Lead Assessor, CAF/DND Sexual Misconduct Class Action Settlement
- Independent Assessor, providing a final determination under the Federal Indian Day School Class Action
- Chair, Ontario Roster, 1986-1990 Hepatitis C Class Action Settlement
Her broad professional experience also includes:
- Almost three decades as a Mediator and Arbitrator. Her practice focussed on labour, employment and human rights matters. Please note that Reva is no longer available for private mediation or arbitration
- Previous appointments to the Ontario Human Rights Commission and the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal
- Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, where she taught Legal Ethics and Professionalism, and
- Law Clerk for Mr. Justice W.Z. Estey at the Supreme Court of Canada
